Welcome to Autus Cumbria
Autus Cumbria supports autistic children and adults by offering social opportunities, support, training and advocacy. We are a small not-for-profit organisation with a big heart – offering a helping hand, friendly face and support for autistic people and their family, friends and colleagues.
We may not have been able to meet in person during coronavirus but that hasn't stopped us from moving our youth groups online!
"I’m enjoying seeing the leaders and my friends from youth club, it’s fun and it always makes me feel happy."
At Autus Cumbria we are committed to continuing to provide the best possible service to young people and their families during the developing situation with COVID-19. In line with government guidance, all of our youth groups are currently CLOSED until further notice. Read more here
"I think this online group is marvellous! My son really looks forward to it. He’s fed up, but the time with the group helps him forget. He loves seeing everyone."
Autus Cumbria is based in Barrow-in-Furness. We are a not for profit organisation. Grants enable us to offer subsidised activities. Any profits made through training and workshops are ploughed back into our work. We thank our funders:
National Lottery, Tesco Bags for Help Scheme & Dong Energy (windfarms)
Although a small organisation we have big ambitions to extend our services and would love to hear from you with your suggestions about how we could extend our support of the autistic community in Cumbria. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org
